Description: Comparative examination of major themes, problems, and patterns in Asian politics, economics, history, and/or culture. Research on aspects of a common topic examined in the seminar.

Number of Credits: 3

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. Juniors and seniors priority

Topics:
Selected aspects of contemporary China, Japan, and Korea in a comparative perspective

Expected Work: Regular class attendance and participation, homework assignments; one 5-page paper; one 15-page research paper; in-class presentation
