01:165:301 Advanced Modern Chinese

Description: Readings in a variety of literary styles; written and oral exercises.

Number of Credits: 3

Prerequisites: 01:165:202, 222 or placement

Semesters Offered:
Fall

Topics:
Further development of proficiency in modern Chinese language. All four language skills are equally emphasized. Students are expected to be familiar with both traditional and simplified characters.

Expected Work: Attendance, Daily quizzes, Two compositions, participation.

Exams: Two hourly exams and a final
