Description: Comparative examination of major themes, problems, and patterns in Asian politics, economics, history, and/or culture. Research on aspects of a common topic examined in the seminar.

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. Juniors and seniors priority

Topics: Selected aspects of China, Japan, and Korea in a comparative perspective

Expected Work: Mandatory class attendance and participation, weekly writing assignments; 50-75 pages weekly reading; one term paper
