Description: Development of foundation in standard Chinese orthogrpahy, grammar, and vocabulary. Practice in reading, writing, and oral skills. 

Number of Credits: 

Prerequisites: Placement test. Credit not given for both this course and 01:165:101 or 102. Soeaking proficiency in Chinese.

Semesters Offered: Fall

Topics: Learning strategies for heritage language speakers of Mandarin Chinese, reinforcement of speaking, listening, reading and writing is received; however reading and writing are the core of this course

Expected Work: Homework, attendance, presentations

Exams: Midterm and Final exam
