“I chose the MA program in East Asian Languages and Cultures at Rutgers because of its supportive faculty, inclusive atmosphere, and the rich variety of courses it offers. During my program, I was able to deepen my knowledge of East Asian literatures and cultures. The faculty is dedicated to helping students succeed and helped me realize my academic goal.”

“I liked that Rutgers has a top-ranked East Asian faculty which encourages students to take courses from different disciplines and acquire a broadly-based foundation. Moreover, the combination of text-based study, historical research, and methodology helped prepared me for my Ph.D. study.”
