Professor Nakatsuji is a Professor of the College of International Relations at itsumeikan University, Kyoto. He is the editor of the book, Japan's Security Policy, which has just been published by Routledge in January, 2023. The book analyzes Japan’s security policy after the Cold War and engages with the
question of whether, since the Cold War ended, Japan has again become a global security player.
